FOR ADULTS LIVING WITH OCD OR ANXIETY

When Your Mind Won’t Stop — No Matter How Hard You Try

You’ve tried therapy to talk about your thoughts. Medication to quiet them. Mindfulness to let them pass. But the loops keep running, the rituals keep demanding, and the constant noise in your head never truly stops. You’re exhausted from fighting your own mind.

LIVING IN CONSTANT PREPARATION

The Constant Loop Isn’t Just Mental — It Affects Everything

You’re fighting a battle most people can’t see or understand:

  • Intrusive thoughts repeat like a broken record — terrible images or fears you can’t shake, no matter how irrational you know they are
  • Rituals consume hours of your day — checking, counting, repeating — stealing time from work, family, and life itself
  • Relationships suffer under the weight of reassurance-seeking, avoidance, and the shame of explaining what’s happening in your head
  • You’re exhausted from the mental gymnastics of trying to neutralize thoughts, complete compulsions “just right,” and hide your struggles from others
You’re brilliant, capable, and insightful — but OCD makes you feel like a prisoner in your own mind. You deserve to think clearly without the constant noise and fear.
WE DON’T GUESS

We Brain-Map First

Symptoms tell us what you experience. They do not tell us why your brain is responding that way. Two people can describe nearly identical OCD attacks and still show very different patterns of brain activity.

Medication is commonly chosen from symptom clusters and adjusted through trial and error: start a medication, wait, change the dose or the medication, and hope the response improves. Medication can be useful, but it does not show us the electrical patterns beneath a person’s OCD.

Measure first. Train what the map reveals. Monitor progress.
qeeg-brain-mapping
A qEEG records the brain’s electrical activity and compares those findings with age-referenced norms. It can show where the brain is running too fast or too slow, where calming networks are not engaging efficiently, and where communication between regions is poorly coordinated.

That information gives us a basis for individualized neurofeedback. We are not choosing a generic OCD protocol. We select training targets from the person’s own brain patterns, and the first map provides a baseline that can be compared with later findings.

WHY THE PATTERN KEEPS RETURNING

Most Treatments Don’t Retrain the Brain. Neurofeedback Does.

You’re not alone in your struggles to get help, and this isn’t your fault. I’ve worked with hundreds of people whose OCD didn’t respond to traditional approaches — not because they weren’t trying hard enough, but because the brain itself needed different training.

  • 30+ years as a licensed psychologist specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders
  • QEEG brain mapping expertise that shows exactly where OCD patterns are firing
  • Documented results: clients reducing or eliminating rituals, quieting intrusive thoughts, and reclaiming their lives
  • A proven approach that addresses OCD at its source — the brain patterns that keep you stuck in loops

“Once clients see their brain map and understand why their thoughts get stuck, the response is always the same: This finally makes sense.’

What Life Feels Like on the Other Side of OCD

Imagine waking up and your first thought isn’t the thing you’ve been obsessing about:

  • Your mind is quiet — not empty, but peaceful. Thoughts come and go without getting stuck
  • Hours of your day return as rituals fade and checking becomes unnecessary
  • Decisions feel simple again — no more analyzing every choice through the lens of catastrophic “what-ifs”
  • Relationships deepen without constant reassurance-seeking or OCD-driven conflicts
  • You trust yourself again — your thoughts, your choices, your ability to handle uncertainty
  • Creativity and joy return to spaces that OCD once consumed

HOW NEUROFEEDBACK WORKS

Give the Brain Information It Can Learn From

Training Happens Through Feedback

Sensors measure brain activity while the client watches a screen or listens to sound. When selected brain patterns move toward the training goals, the screen becomes brighter or the sound changes. The brain receives that information immediately.
  • Nothing is sent into the brain
  • Training targets are individualized
  • The learning occurs through repeated feedback
  • Home or office training is available

What Clients Have Shared

“I could actually be happy in this lifetime.”

Steve, 40 years of clarity

“It’s not a magic bullet — it’s a process.”

“By retraining his brain instead of revisiting the past, Stan finally experienced what he calls calm I haven’t felt in nearly 50 years. His thinking became clearer, his relationships easier, and the lifelong search for peace finally ended.”
Stan, 75

“I didn’t know that was possible.”

“For the first time in years, I can have a thought and just… let it go. I didn’t know that was possible. My family says they got me back.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions Before You Begin

How is OCD different from general anxiety?
OCD are sudden surges of intense alarm. General anxiety is often more persistent worry or tension. The two can occur together, which is one reason the consultation begins with your individual pattern rather than a generic protocol.
Can a brain map show what is happening?
A qEEG records electrical activity and compares the findings with age-referenced norms. It helps identify patterns of overactivation, under activation, and poor coordination so the training plan can be based on the person’s own brain rather than a generic panic protocol.
Can I continue medication or therapy?
Yes. Neurofeedback can be used alongside therapy, medication, and other care. Medication changes should be discussed with the prescribing clinician.
Is home training available?
Yes, for many clients. Office training is also available. Dr. Cale will recommend the setting that best fits the plan and your ability to train consistently.
